Intersegmental Traction/Spinal Decompression

spinal decompression

Intersegmental Traction uses gentle rollers under the surface of a padded table to travel the length of your spine and flex spinal joints. This helps to increase mobility and elasticity and prevent discs from degenerating. Spinal discs have a naturally poor blood supply, so the increase blood circulation to them during this therapy helps them get nutrients. This therapy lasts for 10 minutes and patients are in control of how much the rollers push up on the spine. There is also an option to turn on the vibrator on the bed. Many patients find this to be a relaxing and restful therapy.
